We make a lot of clear white boards which always look good and are, in theory, less of a distraction but if you'd like a bit of colour, here is a selection of sprays to give you an idea of what we can do. You can have an exact copy, similar design with different colours, a combination or something completely original of your own. If you would like a spray but are having trouble deciding what to have, a good bit of advice is to keep it simple. Simple sprays look good for ever but it's your own personal board, the choice is yours and if you're feeling arty you're also more than welcome to have a go yourself [on your own board].
One of the Fluid Juice philosophies has always been to put performance first and to this end, we no longer tint or polish our boards. Resin tints may look good but are purely cosmetic. The outdated glassing process adds weight without strength and the tinting pigments weaken the resin which has a detrimental effect, not only on overall board strength but on the flex and springback of the glass job which can significantly reduce the liveliness of the finished board in the water. Also, from an environmental viewpoint, they require more chemicals and produce significantly more waste. Polished finishes, again, may look good in a surf shop but are also purely cosmetic. The process also adds weight without strength and surprisingly, the polished finish actually increases drag.
All of the colour scheme examples below are permanent, do not fade and do not affect performance or strength. All colours are sprayed directly onto the foam, under the fibreglass and all of our boards have a low drag, matt finish.
