Subject: Great Board

Adrian

Just wanted to thank you again for my beautiful new fish. You nailed my design and created one sexy board. Have not had the chance to give her a real good run out yet, but what I have experienced has been pretty good. I'm taking her out to Hossegor in September to give her a really good breaking in. I'll let you know how she gets on and send some pics.

Cheers Buddy

Hey Adrian, how are you fella?

Loving the bat tail quad. It is the best board I've ridden! Taken it out in 2 foot all the way up to 4-5 barrelling Croyde. Here is a random pic that ended up on Magic seaweed.

Thank you again for making my average surfing a little less average. Tom.

Hi Adrian,

Sorry for the late reply. Thanks so much for my new 6'6", it gets into the
wave so early and has got so much speed and hold through turns, the spray
job isn't half bad either... can't wait for the autumn swells to start
arriving and get it into the bigger stuff!

Here's a pick of me having a play at Puts last week, my friends really into
photography and editing so I've got quite a few shots if you want any more.
I'm heading down to Aggie this week and am off to Hossegor in September
before Uni, I'll be sure to get some more pics and to email back with some
proper feedback.

Thanks again,
David

Hi Adrian.

Just to let you know that I'm thrilled with the new board. It's loose, picks up plenty of speed and has given me a new lease of surfing life. So congrats to yourself and the team at FJ for making one customer very happy indeed.

Happy surfing.

Hi there Adrian,

It seems strange to think that I've been buying my boards from you for over 15 years now,but it has to be said that the latest board has just blown me away. After moving away from shortboarding to riding 9' 6s a long time ago it was with some trepidation that I considered going short again, but being fedup with the hassles of getting a longboard through airports and into/onto taxis in far flung places that I took the plunge.

After discussing the pros and cons with you the choice to go to a Twin Fin Fish has been an excellent one.
It goes on anything, catches waves like an 8ft mal and has an amazing combination of looseness and drive. It has the ability to glide over flat spots and then can then seconds later find the speed to do the necessary in a steep section.I love it!
I'd just like to say that if anyone is thinking of going short after an extended period of longboarding then a twinfin fish crafted by your magical foam mower has to be the way to go. You and your people should be really proud about spreading so much happiness around the globe.

All the best
Steve Griffin.

Oh yeah, the person that does the art work deserves a pat on the back aswell.

Adrian,

Like the look of some of your new shapes esp the Widowmaker... just need to make some space and bribe the missus......

This is me riding a 6"6" FJ thruster in Fiji in early 2006- your boards are well made to travel well and go well when you get there. Highly recommended.

Keep up the good work.

Subject: Your board

Hi Adrian,

What I didn't tell you is what happened to the board when the snow fell.
After too many beers I took the fins off both my boards and we scooted down the slopes in the snow in Feb I think.
These are all gap years from the school I work at - they're from NZ, South Africa and Australia.

I'm taking the picture. So I guess I'm sending you a photo of your board in unexpected conditions.

It was hard to turn by the way, but managed a 10 metre drop down the slope. The board is fine by the way!

Regards,
Sandy

Hi Adrian,

I love my 6'2 Fluid Juice thruster, its perfect!!!!! Thanks for spending time figuring out what would work best for me, and the spray's great too. It catches waves brilliantly and helps me practise more moves, plus I can carry it to the beach from the house so I get to surf even more (and it saves Dad's arms stretching from having to carry two boards!) I surfed a small wave at Constantine today and as you can see I was in such a hurry to get in I put my leash on my wrong ankle!!!!!!

Thanks again see you soon.

Been meaning to drop you a line for a while, Adrian, about the great board you shaped last summer for my Nicaragua trip.

Here's a shot of it in action at an epic beachbreak we shared with nesting turtles. A++ conditions.

So cheers - belatedly - for such a resilient, versatile and smooth-running
board. Gonna see how it goes in 9 degree North Sea soup tomorrow.

Best,

Simon (Manchester)

Subject: Twin fin

Hi Adrian,

Just a quick email to let you know I've been out a couple of times on the twinny and it's going great. Hebrides had to get put off until the week after next due to car problems but Sue and I managed to get up to Steve's place over in Fife and go on a mission up to a great spot called Lunan Bay near Arbroath.

Small in the morning but the board was picking the waves up like a longboard and once you put the foot down you're off! Punchy peaks in the afternoon in the 3-4ft range and the board handled real good, although not much line on the end of the peaks.

Looking forward to getting out in some bigger stuff soon so I can give you some proper feedback!

Thanks again,

Jon

Hi adrian,

its connor, yeh i have been away, had 4 weeks in South Africa, loads of waves and barrels and sharks.

The board went amazing, the rail changes in my cutbacks was alot better than my old board. The board got barreled alot aswell, rides well in the barrel. ive put the new plastic kelly slater fins in it and its really loose but also it holds in turns if you want it to, the board and fins make a magic combo. Best board ive ever ridden, thank you sooo much. Hope to hear back from you and i might be in contact soonish to buy another board!

Thanks again!!!!!!!

Dear Adrian,

just thought I'd drop a line to say cheers for the magic carpet you shaped me last year, (green resin tint) it's brought me on light years! Also great to see lots of your boards in Scottish line ups, all Jamie at Clans fault I suspect.

Can't recommend your sticks enough, I'm on my third now and can't imagine riding anything else. Heres a pic of my first (9'3
performance longy, still in stirling service) having it in Portugal last year, cheers Adrian, all the best.

Subject: Ciaran's Red 9' 4"

Hi Adrian,

Just thought I would drop you a quick note to say thanks and let you know how the new board was going. I drove all the way up to N.Devon and scored perfect shoulder high Saunton for its first outing and it went really well. I always find I need about three or four surfs in different conditions to really make up my mind up and get really dialed into a board. Having surfed it few more times it wasn't until a tiny day at Watergate (knee- waisthigh) that it really came alive. I was out with Chris Thompson, and he was commenting ( with amazement ) on the way the fin was completely hanging out of the back of the wave when I was up on the nose with the entire deck of the board and inside rail locked in to the wave, allowing me to stand with little effort getting ten right in the pocket, it felt like the most positive and controlled noseriding I have done in the 16 years I've been riding a mal. Awesome board, this ones a keeper for sure.

Thanks again Adrian,

Ciaran

Hi Adrian,

Great to meet you on Saturday, just wanted to say I got a few waves on the quad over the weekend and it's amazing - not to mention the spray job which looks awesome. Can't imagine how good it will be once I'm more used to it! I know Johnny is thrilled with his board too.

cheers,

Alex

Subject: Thanks

Hi Adrian

Well we and the boards are back from Morocco all in one piece (!), we had a great time.

The boards look and feel fantastic, thankyou so much for getting them done on time for us - it was great being able to use them out there. We did see Toby out at Immesouane, but not to speak to - first day there, 21 longboarders and 22 groms all on one break was a bit of a nightmare! Everyone out there was asking about the boards and saying how good they looked. The glassing is top notch too, we literally have a few compression dings between us and no sign they've been on an aeroplane at all despite the fact we saw the baggage handlers stood on top the stack of boards.

Mike from hotdoggers took loads of photos of us out there, he's going to give us a disc at the next comp so we'll send the good ones on to you then, but in the meantime here's a few crappy ones I took anyway - the Immesouane one is when Toby was out there too. We've got the first Hotdoggers on the 25th then the BLU at Easter so we'll let you know how we get on.

Thanks again

Rebecca & Chris
